Rail Milk Tankers

IDMC’s horizontal-cylindrical rail milk tanker ensures long-distance transportation of chilled milk at 4°C by the railways on a broad gauge line. The single-compartment tank is double-walled, insulated, and of sanitary design, as per the guidelines of RDSO.

The inside of the barrel is made of stainless steel, preventing contamination of milk, while the outer barrel is made of mild steel, mounted on the insulation work over the inner barrel. This design helps prevent the churning of milk at high speeds. Most importantly, the temperature rise never exceeds more than 1°C in 24 hours.
