IDMC’s horizontal-cylindrical rail milk tanker ensures long distance transportation of chilled milk at 4° C by the railways on broad gauge line. The single compartment tank is double walled, insulated and of sanitary design, as per guidelines of RDSO.

The inside of the barrel is made of stainless steel which prevents contamination of milk while the outer barrel is made of mild steel mounted on the insulation work over the inner barrel, designed to prevent the churning of milk at high speed. Most importantly, the temperature rise never exceeds more than 1° C in 24 hours.
