IDMC’s mobile bulk milk cooler is a solution for chilling of milk in difficult Indian village settings. Mobile BMC can be used when the villages on the milk collection route (ranging from 10 to 30 villages) do not have individual milk procurement volumes to install the conventional BMC (even of a low capacity such as 500 litres). Even when a 500-litre capacity BMC can be installed for individual villages on a milk procurement route, it is more advantageous to use our mobile BMC of appropriate capacity for collection of milk from individual villages/clusters. Its application can be on the basis of procurement volume, frequency of collection, mobility, and economies of scale.

Increasingly important, IDMC’s mobile BMC can be used as an emergency service for collecting milk stored in a BMC which is unable to chill milk due to the breakdown of compressor or failure of generator/electricity.
