CSR Policy


 
 

1 This policy will be guided by NDDB’s philosophy for the economic development of the rural masses. Subject to the provisions of Schedule VII of the Companies Act 2013 and based on such direction that the Board of Directors of IDMC may provide from time to time, IDMC’s CSR activities, projects and programs would be preferably implemented in its area of operations and may include:
  • Eradicating hunger, poverty and malnutrition, promoting healthcare (including preventive healthcare) and sanitation and making available safe drinking water;

  • Promoting education, including special education;

  • Promoting gender equality and empowering women;

  • Ensuring ecological balance, protection of flora and fauna and animal welfare;

  • Rural development projects;

   
2 The Board of Directors shall ensure that the minimum amount to be spent on CSR activities is in conformity with the requirements of the Companies Act 2013.

   
3 Based on the recommendations of the CSR Committee, the Board of Directors of IDMC shall approve CSR projects and programs to be executed under this policy.

   
4 The Managing Director of IDMC, or any other officer duly authorised by the Managing Director, shall execute and monitor the activities, projects or programs that have been duly approved.

   
5 The CSR Committee would annually review the implementation of CSR activities, projects and programs.

   
6 The surplus arising out of IDMC’s CSR activities, projects or programs shall not form part of the business profit of the Company.
