Promoting healthcare for underprivileged and weaker section of the society

IDMC contributed to Charutar Arogya Mandal, Karamsad for the cause of promoting the health care of the underprivileged and weaker section of society.

Charutar Arogya Mandal, Karamsad provides health care treatment to the underprivileged and weaker section of the society through the hospital (NABH accredited) managed by the Mandal. Most of the patients who are admitted at general ward (550 beds) of the hospital are from weaker economic section of the society and are not in a condition to afford the treatment they need. For these kinds of patients under general category, the hospital does not charge any registration fee, in-house or outdoor medical consultation fee etc. This being the only hospital having one of its kind Trauma Center, does not turn away a single emergency case and offers substantial concessions in treatment cost to the patients living below poverty line.
